Zan News: The "Afghanistan Women's Spontaneous Movement" has issued a statement opposing the invitation of Taliban representatives to the third Doha meeting and calling on the United Nations to pay special attention to human rights, particularly the rights of women and girls, at the meeting.

The movement has released protest videos outlining their demands for the third Doha meeting and has expressed support for the appointment of a UN special representative for Afghanistan.

Members of the movement called for the formation of a government based on the people's vote in Afghanistan, saying they want a leadership that comes from the people and is based on their vote.

According to the protesters, education and work are among the most fundamental civil rights that women and girls have been denied since the Taliban took power.

They called on the hosts of the third Doha meeting to pay serious attention to the right to education and work for women and to prioritize this issue.

The protesters expressed hope that the meeting will end in favor of the Afghan people.

Members of the "Afghanistan Women's Spontaneous Movement" also emphasized the importance of the presence of political groups opposed to the Taliban at the meeting, saying that without their presence, the results of the meeting will not be acceptable to the Afghan people.

This comes as the third Doha meeting, hosted by the United Nations, is scheduled to take place in Qatar later this month. Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, traveled to Afghanistan to formally invite the Taliban to participate in the meeting. The Taliban have also announced that they have appointed their representatives to participate in the "main discussions" of the meeting.
