Zan News: The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) says that a large number of citizens in various parts of Afghanistan have suffered severe losses due to natural events.
UNAMA today, Sunday (October 13), published a message on X on the occasion of the "International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction," calling for greater international community support for those affected by natural events in the country.
The agency emphasized, "Across Afghanistan, communities continue to suffer heavy losses from recurring natural events and climate change."
A few days ago, UNAMA also stated that a year after the earthquakes in Herat, a large number of affected individuals are still in need of humanitarian aid. According to the agency, Afghanistan is heavily impacted by natural events.
It is worth mentioning that October 13 has been designated by the United Nations as the "International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction."
