Hashmatullah Rahmani, a spokesperson for the Taliban police in Samangan, confirmed the incident, stating that the accident occurred on Sunday (August 18) near Khulm district.

According to Rahmani, a Corolla Van vehicle traveling from Balkh to Baghlan collided with a other Corolla vehicle.

He added that in the accident, a five-year-old girl lost her life, and four others, including two children and a woman, were injured.

The exact cause of the accident has not yet been determined, but high speed, failure to follow traffic laws, and poor road conditions are considered among the main factors contributing to traffic accidents in the country.
