Teenage Girl Commits Suicide in Almar District, Faryab

Zan News - Faryab: A teenage girl in Almar district of Faryab province has hanged herself and ended her life.

According to local sources, this girl hanged herself from the ceiling of her house yesterday, Monday (August 5), in the village of "Hazara Qeshlaq" in Almar district.

Sources say the girl was 14 years old and her name was Nargis.

The cause and motive for this suicide have not yet been determined.

The Taliban have not yet commented on this matter.

It is worth noting that suicide among women and girls in Afghanistan has increased in recent years. Domestic violence, psychological pressure, forced marriages, poverty, and unemployment are considered the main causes of this phenomenon.
