Taliban to Execute Three Individuals in Nimroz and Badghis Provinces

According to reports, local sources in these two provinces say that the Taliban have summoned government employees and local residents to attend the execution ceremonies. The group has also instructed attendees not to bring cameras or smartphones.

In Nimroz province, local sources have confirmed that one individual accused of murder will be executed tomorrow in the city of Zaranj in front of the public. The identity of this person has not yet been disclosed.

Similarly, in Badghis province, local sources have stated that two individuals accused of murder will be executed in Qala-i-Naw, the provincial capital. The identities of these individuals have also not been revealed.

This move by the Taliban comes amid repeated instances over the past three years in which the group has carried out corporal punishments and retributive executions in public.
