Zan News: Local sources in Nangarhar report that the Taliban has prohibited the all group officials from conducting interviews with visual media outlets.
According to these sources, Azizullah Mustafa, the Taliban's deputy governor, issued an order on Tuesday (November 12) during a military meeting, instructing the all group officials, especially civil employees, to refrain from giving video interviews.
This Taliban official warned that no members of the group, whether military or civilian, should appear in the media.
According to the directive, only audio interviews are permitted.
The deputy governor of Nangarhar emphasized that this measure is being implemented to fully enforce the Taliban's law of "Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice."
Previously, the Taliban had also prohibited their officials in Takhar province from conducting interviews with visual media.
It is worth mentioning that under the Taliban's "Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice" law, recording and publishing images of living beings is considered contrary to Islamic Sharia and is treated as a crime.
