Zan News: Mawlawi Abdul Habib Motawazeh, the Taliban's education director in Sheikh Ali district of Parwan province, has been arrested on charges of having an extramarital relationship with the headmistresses of two girls' schools.

According to media reports, local sources confirmed on Sunday (August 4) that Mawlawi Abdul Habib was removed from his position about two weeks ago but was recently arrested by the Taliban.

Sources indicated that Mawlawi Abdul Habib was a prominent Taliban commander who had fought against the previous government's forces for years.

The Taliban have not yet commented on this matter.

This is not the first time that Taliban officials and fighters have been arrested for having extramarital relationships. In the most recent case, on July 18, a Taliban judge was arrested for allegedly having an extramarital affair with the wife of a former district governor for Farsee district.
