Taliban's Criminal Director in Takhar Arrested on Charges of Sexual Assault on Two Women

Sources said on Monday (September 9) that Samiullah Mukhlis raped two married women three times in a village in Farkhar, Takhar.

According to these sources, the Taliban official is currently being held in Takhar's central prison along with the two women.

Sources added that local Taliban officials in Takhar are attempting to resolve the case through a tribal council and secure the release of the accused.

So far, local Taliban authorities in Takhar have not commented on the matter.

It is noteworthy that Taliban members in various provinces have previously been accused of committing sexual assault.
