Zan News: Members of the "Purple Saturdays" movement have strongly criticized the "self-proclaimed" Taliban government in a protest, warning of the crises that the group has imposed on Afghanistan's younger generation.

In a statement released today, Monday (October 7), the members of the movement's art and culture committee said that the Taliban, as a serious threat to Afghan youth, have caused an unprecedented increase in brain drain from the country.

The statement said, "The return of the Taliban to power has confronted Afghanistan, which has one of the youngest populations in the world, with deep social and cultural crises. The Taliban's repressive policies, especially against girls and women, have caused millions of young people who yesterday had dreams for a better future to now see migration to the West and Europe as their only salvation."

The statement also emphasizes the widespread violation of human rights under the guise of "implementing Sharia" and the enforcement of the Taliban's morality laws, which, along with "corruption, tribalism, unemployment, and jihadi schools, have brought Afghan society to the brink of destruction."

According to the statement, this situation has caused many families to encourage their children to leave the country to prevent them from joining extremist groups like the Taliban and ISIS.

The members of the art and culture committee also expressed concern about the international community's support, under the guise of engaging with the Taliban, and called for the non-recognition of the group and its continued inclusion on the list of terrorist groups. They emphasized "the need to overthrow the self-proclaimed Taliban government and support the formation of a democratic government in which young people play an active role."

Members of the "Purple Saturdays" movement also called on the people of Afghanistan not to be indifferent to the future of their children and the younger generation and to take their responsibilities seriously in the struggle against the Taliban regime.
