Man Kills His Wife in Helmand Over "Bad Cooking"

According to these sources, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM on Monday (6 January) in the "Safeeha" village of Lashkar Gah.

A medical source at the Bost Hospital confirmed that the woman was transferred to the hospital on the night of the incident and died from the severity of her injuries around 9:00 AM on Tuesday (7 January).

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed, and local Taliban authorities in Helmand have not commented on the incident.

It is worth noting that since the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan, there have been numerous reports of women being killed by family members. Many of these killings are attributed to domestic violence.
