Zan News - Bamyan: Two women lost their lives due to a landslide in the center of Bamyan province.

Local sources report that this incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (June 27) in the village of "Qala Shah-Karam," in the Qazan Foladi Valley in central Bamyan.

According to the sources, the event happened when a meadow on a hillside slipped, burying two women who were harvesting their field.

One woman died on the spot, and the other succumbed to her injuries on the way to Bamyan Provincial Hospital after being rescued from the dirt and mud.

The sources add that the two women were members of the same family.

So far, local Taliban officials in Bamyan have not commented on the incident.

The deaths of the two women in the landslide come as floods in Yakawlang district of Bamiyan province last week killed 17 members of two families. Three days ago, a teenage girl drowned in a water reservoir in Sighan district of Bamiyan and died.

This year, natural disasters such as landslides and floods have killed hundreds of people and injured many across the country.
