Zan News: The Malala Yousafzai Foundation, an educational activist and Nobel laureate, has allocated $1.5 million to Afghanistan's education sector concurrently with the passing of 1000 days of Afghan girls' deprivation from education. This funding will be distributed to 13 organizations in Afghanistan working to support girls' education.

In an announcement released on Friday, June 14th, the Malala Yousafzai Foundation stated that this financial aid focuses on digital education initiatives and promoting efforts to identify and combat "gender apartheid" as an international law.

Additionally, the Malala Yousafzai Foundation and the organization known as "Education Cannot Wait" have urged the global community to unite in support of Afghan women and girls.

Meanwhile, Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Afghanistan, has also stated in connection with the 1000th day of girls' education ban that millions of girls in Afghanistan have not yet given up on their dreams.

According to Mr. Bennett, the 1000 days of denying girls education is unimaginable and unacceptable.

Gordon Brown, the UN Special Envoy for Global Education, has also supported the "Voices of Afghanistan Girls" campaign, criticizing Taliban policies on education and calling for global unity to support Afghan girls.

Rina Amiri, the US Special Representative for Women and Human Rights in Afghanistan, has also stated that the Taliban has jeopardized the country's future by implementing restrictive policies against girls and women, adding that "Afghanistan is the only country in the world where these extremist policies are applied and remains isolated."

This comes as nearly three years have passed since girls beyond sixth grade have been barred from schools, and universities remain closed to this segment.

Several global educational institutions have labeled these Taliban restrictions, coinciding with 1000 days of girls' education deprivation, as a tragic turning point in children's and girls' rights and have called for the lifting of these prohibitions.

While the international community has described these Taliban restrictions as "inhumane" and contrary to human rights laws, the group has yet to change their policies.
