Four People, Including One Woman, Flogged in Public by Taliban in Kunduz and Paktia Provinces

Zan News: The Taliban's Supreme Court has announced that four individuals, including one woman, were flogged in public in the provinces of Kunduz and Paktia.
According to a statement from the court, on Wednesday (January 1), a woman and a man in the Qala-e-Zal district of Kunduz province were punished in front of the public for the charge of "running away from home." The Qala-e-Zal district court had sentenced the two to 25 lashes and four months of enforced imprisonment.
In another statement, the Taliban's Supreme Court reported that two other individuals in Paktia province were punished in public for the charge of "theft." According to the verdict of the Criminal Court of the Primary Court of Paktia, these individuals were sentenced to 39 lashes and two years of enforced imprisonment.
It should be noted that since the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan, they have frequently carried out public punishments on individuals accused of various offenses. This group has previously executed six individuals in front of the public.
