A 17-Year-Old Girl Committed Suicide in Kunduz

Zan News: Local sources in Kunduz province have confirmed that a 17-year-old girl hanged herself on Friday evening (April 4) in the "Do Bolola" area of District Two in Kunduz city and ended her life.
According to these sources, after the incident, the girl’s family transferred her to the regional hospital in Kunduz, but she had passed away before arriving at the hospital.
The motive and reason behind this suicide are not yet clear, and Taliban officials have not commented on the matter.
This is the second case of suicide among women in less than a week in northeastern Afghanistan. Last Thursday, a young woman also hanged herself in Bangi district of Takhar province and ended her life.
It is worth mentioning that after the return of the Taliban to power in 2021, alarming reports have emerged regarding the increasing number of suicides among teenage girls and young women in Afghanistan.
