Zan News - Takhar: A 13-year-old girl named Hamsa drowned in the Warsaj River in Takhar province.

According to local sources, the incident occurred on Monday (29 July) in the village of Khanaqah in the Warsaj district.

Sources report that Hamsa and her cousin went to the riverbank to drink water and fell into the river.

According to information from sources, her cousin was rescued by someone downstream on the riverbank.

Sources mentioned that Hamsa was a sixth-grade student. Due to the summer school holidays, she had traveled with her family from Kabul to Takhar for a vacation.

It is noteworthy that in the past year, several cases of children drowning have been reported in various provinces. Carelessness and lack of attention from families are cited as major reasons for these incidents.
